I can't believe so many people have never used starboard on a BB system.I have used it for years in my BB tanks,it looks like sand and protects the glass.I never silicone it down though,I figure if I ever sell the tank the new owner might not want it so it can be removed.the tank is looking sweet and coming along nicely

The bottom is 3/8 and the top is 1/2
