WWC Spring Sale Shipping Delay

Hey All! I am still fairly new to the hobby and decided to take the dive and purchase some corals from WWC during the Spring Sale. My package was supposed to be in today, however it looks like shipping in Memphis TN is delayed due to weather disruptions.

Unfortunately, my package is showing to be stuck at this hub.

I also noticed on WWC website, it states "FedEx delays due to weather or mechanical failure which result in loss may not be covered under our guarantee."

I bought a leather, a few zoas, a few aussie lords, a galaxea, and a hammer.

What are the odds that the coral will be okay after an extra day or two of shipping?

In these temps chances are much better than freezing temps or high heat. Coral also tend to fare better than fish that are delayed. Can't say for sure tho until they arrive.

mine is showing the same thing. Actually I was supposed to have a unique corals shipment arrive yesterday that I got today and 6 of the 8 frags look fine for the most part (as of today) 1 clearly doa (actively peeling branching Cyphastrea) and 1 merulina with RTN spot but might survive.

So you might not have 100% DOA if it gets delayed, depending on type but maybe a couple. Acros are probably toast but LPS and softies may be fine.

Edit: based on What you got, you might be surprised at what survives. Most of those can be pretty hardy corals.

Some coral shipments overseas can be 2-3 days of travel time. Often those trans-shippers will use more water but still corals can survive.

Mine came in and 10 of 11 look perfectly fine, including one acro. The one half dead is a cespitularia which are notorious bad shippers. Kudos to WWC for adding carbon and a bigger bag of water, but not sure this one is going to make it.

I think chances are good for these.... The hammer being the most likely to maybe have issues in my mind. I've received things a day later and all but the torch survived.

Mine just came in. I put them in a quarantine system for now with a carbon filter. I am not sure about the Aussie Lords, but everything else looks okay for now. Here are some pics in case someone wants to point out something I may be missing:

The lords look okay to me. That's how they normally look when retracted.
