X30 blue from AliExpress

Just got these in the other day, 3 total,and they are a real challenge to get to connect to wifi. 1st one went okay took several attempts. 2nd one wouldnt connect at all, but finally it connected 1st shot this evening, updated the time and saved, and got a timed out message... well now it doesnt respond at all. The light on the unit isnt blinking, so its connected still I suppose, and I tried a factory reset, so i could relink. The factory reset isnt working, so I just deted it from the app all togetherl, well its still connected.... tried to link it again, and it doesn't even show up in the wifi anymore bc its still linked (no flashing) idk what to do at this point. I unplugged my router to force it to disconnect, and see if it showed up on my wifi list, no luck. Replugged the router and it stopped flashing (connected) How do I get it disconnected if I cant factory reset it? TIA

Ive done everyrhing possible to get these to work, including what you suggested. If you have th patience to deal with these they can work and are super bright. Just if you had one disconnect, youre going to have problems.

Well I’ve got one on the way been waiting for two weeks now. Says it arrived at local facility waiting for delivery. Hopefully any day now.

I’m looking to swap my 2 x G4 pros on the frag tank to 2 x G6 Blues ($2000+ all in). I can’t even sell one frag to pay for the power cord so either keeping the G4 Pros or look at these affordable lights. How much for each again?

It’s sounds like it’s overheated. Take the front lens part apart and add some thermal paste between the leds and iron that it sits on top of. There’s a video on YouTube I’ll link it if I find it

It’s literally the same light I have an A8 pro and a radion G6 it’s the same exact thing minus the ****** WiFi vs ****** mobius.

At almost 1/3 the price so very compelling…

Mobius is working fine for me across 3 tanks (4th tank is a hospital tank). Actually, I have 18 Ecotech devices - eek! :)

Hmm - this will drive me nuts! At least Mobius has been solid for me - perhaps since I’m on 2G? Is there online support or you’re on your own?

Assume you can’t buy the Ecotech WiFi card to connect to Mobius? The controller is proprietary and they didn’t mimic the Radions?

The A8se seems to be okay, but the x30s need work, and are pita. I could get them to connect after tinkering for hours, but then I messed up a step, and sent me back to square one. This was just one light, I had three.

It seemed to go pretty smoothly got it hooked up to WiFi and played with the settings.

where do you go to update the software?
These things are crazy
I’m having a heck of a time with this light
Is there a video somewhere or something?
How did you figure them out?
