Xenia splitting issue

Just looking at it I see it splitting finally but I’m also seeing the branches all sucked up and dead looking. Is this normal during a split or?

I wouldn’t worry about it, it’s xenia..... You couldn’t kill that if you tried. You could pull all those polyps off that frag plug and the foot pieces left behind would grow back more.

In my experience it doesn’t split, it grows new branches.
