My LFS had a bunch of Xenia frags for over a year that they couldn't sell. None of them had ever pulse and I have been watching them for a long time. Finally took one home and have had it for a couple months. I was about to give up on it because it never once pulsed. Suddenly it starts pulsing like Hog Wild. I mean really going to town. Not sure of what the difference is. I haven't done anything different that I know of. Kind of a cool mystery. Happy.

There you go and a good sign tank is doing well

I don't think my tank had anything to do with it but thanks. MyLFS has a really big beautiful Lagoon with high-tech dosing and lots of beautiful Kessel lamps.

Such interesting little soft corals.

I believe pulsing has to do with nutrient levels in the tank. I got mine from a local reefer who runs his system ULNS and they never pulsed. I added them into mine that have high nitrates and phosphates and they pulse like crazy.

IF YOU HAD TO OPERATE EVERYTHING ELSE MANUALLY, WHICH AUTOMATED SYSTEM WOULD YOU KEEP?
