I'm setting up a new nano tank but the light I have is a little overkill I know but it was for a price I couldn't pass up so here we are. My question is how much should I dial back my light for a primarily LPS dominated tank i.e.: torches, hammers, gonis? I'm going with the preloaded LPS/Softy spectrum setup but I assume that it's gonna be a little to strong on such a little tank. The light is mounted on the RMS arm about 8 inches off the water.

I would probably run it around 40-50%. I am getting par about 50-60ish 18 inches down when at 40%. This is a good starting point for an LPS tank on the sand. 50-100 par on the sand and letting it work its self up to the top would allow for sufficient par for all lps corals.
