I currently have a 75g with 2 XR15 blued and an Aquatic Life T5 fixture. I am getting ready to upgrade to a 120g. I am also adding a 40 breeder as a grow out tank. I came across a good deal on 2 A160we's and another Aquatic Life T5 fixture. I originally intended to put the xrs/t5s over the 120 and the 160s/t5 over the 40 breeder. I prefer the look of the kessil over the radions. A pair of A360X's are not in the cards. Am I making a bad move if I place the 160s on the 120 and the XRs on the breeder?

The a160we are about half the par output of the Radion xr15 and Kessil a360x. Depending on what coral are going into the 120 gal, I would consider putting the a160 lights on the 40 gal.

Yeah... I just needed someone to talk me out of it lol.
Depending on what's going in the tank, the a160s may be enough with t5's. You can always par map it out and see what you're getting with each lighting option, then decide from that info.

I believe the 160s will be far better suited for the 40. I was just toying with the idea. Now I need to see about getting the xrs swapped out with some 360s lol
