Yellow angel heavy breathing

My yellow angel I have had for 2 years has been a bit off the past 2 days he’s been hiding a bit more than usual and breathing heavy he still eats normally when fed but pecks at the rocks less. I did notice some twitching and flashing in the video but this is the only time I’ve seen him do this and I haven’t added a fish to the tank in over 3 months

I also feel like his color is a bit more washed out than it used to be he’s also lost weight in the past few weeks I wasn’t paying attention to them to much recently because I’ve been busy but I’ve been feeding them with nori flakes mysis and spirulina with selcon all other fish are perfectly normal

I saw the twitching and head shaking as well. Combined with the rapid breathing, gill flukes are the most likely treatable diagnosis. Flukes can be weird - they can cause chronic infections that go for a long period with no symptoms (or mild symptoms). They also don't affect all fish equally.

What was the last fish added, and when? How about the fish before that?
Do any fish posture in front of the cleaner shrimp?

Pyramid butterflyfish carry flukes more often than just about any other species of fish except for lookdowns. I think you ought to try a round of prazi.....

Oh, okay I didn’t know that you learn something new every day I will dose prazi when I get home later how much should I expect it to suppress appetite of my fish because I know it’s an appetite suppressant also are there any fish that are more sensitive to praziquantel. I have a neon dottyback, six line wrasse, cleaner wrasse, pyramid butterflyfish, scopas tang, Seargent major, pair of coral beautys(they have been with the yellow for well over a year their is minimal aggression and the yellow is the dominant one), one molly, and a maroon clown

You should dose the prazi for the actual tank volume not its "rated capacity". If you don't know its actual volume, use 85% of its rated capacity as a good estimate. Always add good aeration when dosing prazi - don't rely on circulating pumps. A good protein skimmer will help, but using air stones is best.

Most issues with prazi are seen in wrasses, and that is typically a result of poor aeration. Prazi in liquid form uses a solvent and that makes aeration even more of a need. I prefer pure prazi powder.

Take cup off of skimmer first 48 hours to allow solution to work at capacity
