Hey guys,

On 12/12 i bought a tiny Yellow Watchman Gobby from my LFS.
He has been sitting in my QT tank sinch then.

QT regime :

-6 hours of Tremazol (EU varriant of Prazipro) in seperate tank than QT tank.
-2.3-2.5 ppm Copper power in QT tank
-2 scoops of Metroplex
-100% waterchange every 3 days.

Being day 2 now, and i'm seeing some white rash/slime? on my Gobby.
He has been active and eating. Also comes out of hiding often.
His poop is also a darker color (which is good)
So apart from the white skin, i see nothing wrong with him.

Any idea what this could be?
(Don't mind the dirt in the tank, i was just feeding + doing a 100% water chaneg tomorrow)

Also looks like the slime is a bit moving/wavy at the top.
So no idea to be honest

While this looks like a scrape injury, can also be a reaction to the many meds its been exposed to. As this fish is not in treatment for active disease, it has been overwhelmed with too many medications in a 48 hr span of time.
Stop the metro immediately which goes by precise weight and not scoops and can be a threat to the fish when overdosed. Hold off on Tremazole which should not be mixed with copper power as it will impact the bonders used in copper.
Do a good water change and reset your QT. Start with copper Power and dose at 2.25ppm and keep it there. After 28 days, do a good water change and then move forward with Tremazole, No copper power. Dose Tremazole at 80% of recommended dose and allow it to work for 7 days, do a water change and add one more dose lasting again 7 days. Add air stone during this medication period and monitor ammonia levels with a reliable test kit and change water only if test suggest increase in ammonia. With copper power , mix new water at same copper level in the QT tank to match it

This species is prone to that when first acquired. The presumption is that this is a bacterial skin infection.

On a side note - using Tramazol as a dip in a separate tank won't work if the species of fluke is an egg laying variety - the fish just get reinfected when you return them to the tank. However, this skin issue is not likely to be fluke related.

Just to be clear, I gave it a 6 hour bath in Tremazol in another tank.
After that, I moved it to my QT tank.
On the instructions of my Metroplex Seachem bottle it says 1-2 scoops per 10 gallon.

I was following the QT guide proposed by Serious Reefs (and should be approved by Humblefish).

I was planning to give it another Tremazol bath after 6 days.

I would drop the metro - that dose is too imprecise. 100% variance right off the start, and then, no accounting for how the material is packed into each scoop. It amazes me that a company can produce instructions like that.

The proper (highest) dose for metro is 25 ppm every other day for three treatments. For a ten gallon tank, that works out to be 0.95 grams per dose. You'll need a gram scale for that. I got one for $16 on Amazon.

I understand your will to quarantine and do the right steps but the measures taken are a huge impact on such a small fish. Be careful what you read as each peron will have a different setup and volume which will not apply to your scenario. I love seachem and their products but their suggestions and claims are really of conflict. Their prime does not Remove ammonia, their dosage recommendations, dont account for total water volume as examples. Do not add tremazole until after you have completed at least 28 days of copper Power as again, you Dont want to mix them. QT is supposed to Preventative, not stressful

@vetteguy53081 @Jay Hemdal
I'm going to do a 100% waterchange in the next hours.
I will be dosing Copper Power at 2.25ppm and will reduce the amount of Metroplex to 1 scoop. (As it is their lowest recommendation for a 10 Gallon tank (size of my QT tank).

I have a Ammonia Alert badge from Seachem to keep a eye on the ammonia levels.
Will keep you updated over the next days.

Two things and dont want to sound negative- Again - SKIP the Metroplex all together and you do Not want to mix with Copper Power as its going to cause issues. The Alert badge especially sitting in Copper especially after two weeks is Very unreliable. Use a reliable test kit such as Hanna or salifert brand. Alert badge is also for freshwater diminishing its reliability

So did a 100% water change and only dosed Copper Power.
Managed to get a better video.
Could this be something like Brook ?
