When I turned the light on to my tank and found my yellow watchman goby a) ******* WHITE AND NOT NEON YELLOW and b) not in his cave, I flipped the hell out you guys. He is indeed alive. I know they tend to get dark almost black stripes when under stress, and with all the new aquascaping I did I know he’s been stressed. But holy **** why is he so pale???
Last night he was his normal beautiful yellow color. He ate dinner, and went to bed in a cave with the shrimp. I woke up and the shrimp is on the opposite side of the tank (extremely unlike the pair to be separated) and the goby was also outside of the cave pale as ever. This does not seem like normal black stress lines.
Someone please help me. The photo attached is after the goby moved, I moved some sand near him to make sure he was alive. There’s also a photo of his normal color.
