I had a mini stroke yesterday when it appeared my YWG pulled a Houdini in my 20G only to realize it’s quite common. Which brings me to this.. There are only so many places in a nano tank to hide & unless he’s eluded me 2x in the 2 return chambers I’m at a loss.

I have a screen mesh on top, but in theory he could shove his way into my chamber & jump out. I do have a very curious cat but no corpses or remnants seen so far.

At what point is it a foregone conclusion I’ve lost him? I need to do a water change today so I’ll search again & maybe look in/around the few caves I have but it’s just a mystery. He was happy/healthy & eating, and appear settled in & then adios.

Do you have sand? Mine digs holes in the sand and goes under the rocks.

I looked under my two biggest rocks yesterday but didn’t see him, unless he was buried or somehow in one of the holes in the rock?

Up until the disappearance he was very active & always showed for feeding.
