Hello everyone

I have a 50x40x40 nano tank that I installed on 04-11-2024. There is an installation location on the forum, you can review all the details there.

I added a Yellow wrasse to this tank 3 days ago. As I added, he buried himself in the sand and I couldn't see him for 3 days. This evening, I dug into the sand a little with the help of a stick, but I couldn't find it due to the thickness of the sand.
Should I worry too? I know they bury themselves in the sand and sleep, but can they go that long without eating?
What suggestion can you give?
The top of the tank is covered with a net and there is no place for her to jump.

Thanks.

Don't poke the wrasse with a stick. It might hide for a month and then one day it will decide to swim around like it has always been in this tank.

Then I'll just continue as if it wasn't in my tank at all and leave it alone. I hope it's good.

Okay, I'll ignore it.
Thank you
Thank you - my post was rubbish.

My wife is out tonight, and she told me I'd need to make my own dinner; so I uncorked a bottle of Glenlivet. That might have been a mistake.

I have a yellow coris wrasse and it spent more time in the sand then the water column for the first few weeks.

Thanks everyone for your comments. Since today was a holiday, I lay down and watched the aquarium for a while and saw it come out of the sand for a little bit and then go back in. So he's alive and healthy :) I think he's just hungry, but I guess he's finding his way somehow.

Glad to hear! Probably eating pods , mine is picking at the glass and rocks all day eating pods. Soon it will be comfortable and out and about all day.
