It seams like there have been a plethora of SCA 150 build threads lately so I thought I should get this started. What is great about this is that we can all see how these tank progress together. This tank is an upgrade from my RedSea Reefer 250 SPS dominate that will transfer over when things are ready. Also I promised my Purple Tang that I would get him a bigger tank as he has grown up.
Equipment list
SCA 150 drilled for Senergy External Over Flow
Exotic Marine 20" Over Flow
Deltec 1000 Xi Skimmer
Aquamaxx AF-! Fleece Roller
500w Titanium heater x 2
Trigger Triton 44 sump
Coral Box DCA12000 ( Jebo / Reefbreeders ) Return Pump
Maxspect 330 Gyre X 2 Back Wall
MP40 QD X 2
Aquaviolet 25W UV
AI Prime Fudge Light
IM 15 Gallon Ato Reservoir
Aquamaxx media reactors X 2
Aquamaxx TC1 Cal Reactor with 2nd Chamber
Apex with 2 EB832 energy bars
Kmore F4 Pro dosing pump
Lighting ?
Reefbreeders 50 v2+ X 2
AI Hydra 32 x 5
GHL Mitra 7206 or 7204 X 3

I will post pictures of the progression as I have just now started to fill once I get some free time from work.

Tank arrived mid November and had my LFS order a stand from Planet Aquariums. I the mean time I got a good deal on a lightly used Trigger Triton 44 sump, $200.00. All so picked up and Aquamaxx AF-1 Roller filter.
Picked up an Aquamaxx FC120 skimmer for my current tank and removed the Deltec 1000xi and got it all cleaned up and ready to go.

Next step was moving the tank into place. I added some LED under counter lighting and got ready to plumb the tank. The cost for hard plumbing a tank can add up quickly.

Now that the tank was in place it was time to plumb the tank and do a 3 day leek test. I must have done a good job as there were no leeks. Knock on wood

Once this was done I added 2 dedicated 20 amp GFCI receptacles was fortunate that years ago I had a in wall electric heater in this corner and kept these circuits there in a junction box on the out side of the house. It was easy enough to get this done. I also had to move the big painting and added the metal fish sculpture above the tank. The Apex will eventually go on a control board in this corner

I started the scape last week. I had a good idea what I wanted and over the last few weeks picked up some Marco shelf rock along with some foundation rocks from Premium Aquatics. I knew that the first order was not going to be enough but started anyway. I would place a few pieces then sit down relax look at it then made adjustments. I wound up ordering some more along with 90 pounds of Tropic Edin dry sand. This is what I finalized. Now over the next couple days start the fill.

What was the cost of the planet stand? Been looking at options for stands
The stand is an Elagance 60x24x32 my LFS charged me $680.00. The stand is very well built looks great. The time it would take , and the cost for me to build a stand would have been more being I do not have the tools to do a professional type job. I had a choice of like 7 or 8 colors. I know white and gray do cost more.
For like 25 more can get it in a 36 tall but I went lower to make it easier to work in.

WOW great start. Plumbing looks great and you truly never realize how much goes into just plumbing a bigger tank. And of course the 10 trips to hardware store. Aquascape looks amazing can’t wait to see it filled with water. What type of lighting are you going with?

Thank you. We are filled and cycled. as for lighting I have a Reefbreeders Photon V2+ over my Redsea 250 SPS dominate and in time most of that will be coming over when the tank is ready.
I was thinking of Hybrid with 4 hydra 32 . But then the cost get way up there. I think I am leaning back to the 50 Photon V2+ but going with 2 of them and mounting them side by side to give a full panel of LED over the whole tank?

I have some time as I won't even turn on lights for the next 3 months.

Do you have the scape epoxied or glued together? Love the scape, I have a bunch of stax laying around I may have to experiment with, my last attempt was not nearly as good as what you have.
