So I sold an item for cheap with free shipping.
No tracking info, as the item was not seemingly important enough to waste on costly shipping (the item was like 8 bucks)
Person payed on the 30th, I shipped next day at USPS with a PayPal card.
Yesterday I get a message from the resolution center:
Item has not arrived yet?!
Ok, snail mail right?!
I message the buyer:
Oh no I'm sorry about that! Have you gone to the post office to ask about the package?
He replies in poor English:
Teach me what I have to ask in post office?
I responded:
Ask if there is a package with our names on it, along with a description of the package, and ship date.
Then he gets irate and demands a tracking number and refuses to go to the post office after asking for the instructions to do so. I kept telling him there was no way to get one after it was shipped. I even have him the form number to ask for to locate the mail, as the local USPS told me since the package was sent out it would be faster on his end. I went 2x for him.
I then investigated, I got his address to locate the USPS in his town and found his shipping address had no results on google. The address he had was a legit address to an empty office building...but with an entire extra line, like you would see at a trailer Court address. So this makes me think
A) the mail man couldn't find this place if google can't
B) this was an act of fraud?
His messages started to get less readable, i could tell he was foreign, aside from the name. I asked him one more time to try the post office and that we both have to help each other if we want to get out of this case on a positive note.
He then told me we should pray together..I said there is no reason to communicate in that way, I am only trying to help.
He then said again that we should pray together.
What on Earth?! What do you do in a situation like this? I'll be praying...just not with that guy!
