So I sold an item for cheap with free shipping.
No tracking info, as the item was not seemingly important enough to waste on costly shipping (the item was like 8 bucks)

Person payed on the 30th, I shipped next day at USPS with a PayPal card.

Yesterday I get a message from the resolution center:
Item has not arrived yet?!

Ok, snail mail right?!
I message the buyer:
Oh no I'm sorry about that! Have you gone to the post office to ask about the package?

He replies in poor English:
Teach me what I have to ask in post office?

I responded:
Ask if there is a package with our names on it, along with a description of the package, and ship date.

Then he gets irate and demands a tracking number and refuses to go to the post office after asking for the instructions to do so. I kept telling him there was no way to get one after it was shipped. I even have him the form number to ask for to locate the mail, as the local USPS told me since the package was sent out it would be faster on his end. I went 2x for him.

I then investigated, I got his address to locate the USPS in his town and found his shipping address had no results on google. The address he had was a legit address to an empty office building...but with an entire extra line, like you would see at a trailer Court address. So this makes me think
A) the mail man couldn't find this place if google can't
B) this was an act of fraud?

His messages started to get less readable, i could tell he was foreign, aside from the name. I asked him one more time to try the post office and that we both have to help each other if we want to get out of this case on a positive note.

He then told me we should pray together..I said there is no reason to communicate in that way, I am only trying to help.

He then said again that we should pray together.

What on Earth?! What do you do in a situation like this? I'll be praying...just not with that guy!

Hahahaha thats hilarious. Sorry to laugh at your expense but lets pray together? I dont understand. Id have absolutely no idea what to do in that situation

LOL. we should pray together...... Then u can smack him in the head...

This reminds me of a time I sold a phone case on ebay for 10 bucks and the woman demanded a refund because she hadn't read the description. I swear I think some people buy cheap stuff knowing you'll give them their money back just to avoid the negative feedback, and they get the free stuff.

Oh, another interesting point.
eBay shipping name and PayPal payment are 2 different people...is that normal? Both names Russian, so maybe they live in the empty office together

And that PayPal grants my $8 back out of principal. That's 64 Ramen noodle packs that I would rather have in stock. All Oriental flavor.

He seems to have a schedule...today's action is at a hault with him....in the meantime I have another guy who is demanding a refund over a dead AA battery...whaahahaha...and claims replacing a battery (which I offered to buy and send him OR issue a refund) was "internal repairs" that he did not have the time for. I asked him what on earth was so hard about replacing a battery and he paid to ship the item back for more than he paid for the thing.
I test everything and if Something is messed up I add that to the listing as "pray it works"

Just joking about that last part. I'm pretty straight forward about things. And have a return policy unless it is labeled as Untested/broken. No way will I refund someone who bought something and tried to fix it and couldn't. That's their own mistake and at a .99 starting price is all up to them. I guess if someone bid $3000 on a fountain pen with no ink I might message them
To make sure they aren't on drugs.

Anywho...this whole eBay thing is starting to tick me off...its only the one guy who is really dumb. The battery guy is just too busy. I bet his TV is stuck on food network

I've got a migraine from how dumb eBay is. Buyers beware. I'm selling rage next week. $.99 with free shipping

Don't have a thread, just dealing with the resolution center messaging system. I'll go off on eBay if I started one and probably get in trouble lol...

Chapter 2; crap yes

So I called eBay this morning and talked to a rep. Best idea I've had all morning. I informed them of this persons way of talking and wrong address. They made a case on the whole "pray with me" thing, which I made them aware I was not using the religious factor as the wrong doing but the context of it, which they also agreed was out of hand.

On the wrong address thing, eBay has to wait for the case to escalate and then decide if in fact this address is fake, or a typo...which if it is I get all $8!!!!

I messaged the buyer one last time to explain his address and asked him to just escalate the case since I do not have time to play games. (Though I wanted to say this, "sir, you live in an abandoned office and I don't have time to pray with you.")

I've had well over a Thousand transactions on eBay.. Never anything like this.. Thats one of the strangest stories I've heard about eBay. Praying.....?

eBay prayer:
"Oh merciful PayPal, or should I say PrayPal, please assist the Russian and I in this act of resolution through eBay, or should I say...ePray? In PayPal's name..eBay."
