So in my case I am running an Eheim 350 canister filter on my 65 Gallon. I'm ALMOST ready to add a UV, just had a question for those who may know.

My canister says it pushes 164 gph, and the sterilizer im eyeing Aqua UV Advantage 8w im assuming works best with 214 gph...

I'm wanting a Uv for:

1. Aid in treatment/prevention of the Dino/cyano

2. Water clarity.

Am I just $^& out of luck?

Would I be best to go to 15w? Which works best with 233 gph? Sales guy at my store doesn't know much about UVs, which blows.

You can push less than the rated capacity. As long as you have some flow (like 100 got) going across the quartz you’ll be fine.
