So I accidentally put a little too much poly guard in my fishes tank (it’s a 2 gallon tank, knew I messed up when the whole tank turned blue) , can I set him in some tap water until the tank is clean and ready for him again?

I don’t know polyguard, but since this is such a small tank, just do big WC until it’s all cleared.

And yes, meanwhile, you can put the fish in a different container, providing the parameters are the same. Be careful about temperature. Just don’t leave it in there more than necessary, as it will cause stress to the fish.

Ah ok, I make sure to put the conditioner in every time I do a fresh tank so he kinda has to stay in there for like a day, think he’ll be fine?
As for the polyguard do you know how much I should put instead? One scoop was for 10 gallons and the scoop is real small.

So, a freshwater question. You might have better luck on a freshwater forum, not reef/saltwater.
If you already have a betta in a tank that's too small for it, then putting it in another too-small container shouldn't be any worse.
(2 gallons is much too small even for a betta)

Also would you know anything about how to use polyguard, in a tank of this size at least?

No. This is a saltwater group.
Why do you think you need to use it?
IIRC, regular water changes are all that's needed

Because he has gold dust disease, copper safe wasn’t working.
Huh?
Please find a freshwater group... I don't know how much help we can be.
(I know there some people here have freshwater experience but I don't recall who)
