YOU HATE IT! "Tank tasks" that you wish you could pay someone to do?

When it comes to reef tanks there are some "tasks" that you just don't want to do! If money were no object and you had the resources local to you maybe you could, maybe you do! I personally wish I could pay someone to come and pull all the hair algae from my tank! I also hate cleaning up the dust and salt creep that get everywhere. I'm not lazy my tank is just BIG!

So let's talk about that today!

1. What do you wish you could pay someone to do that you hate doing?

2. What DO YOU pay someone else to do now for you?

If I had to pick a task for someone else to do it would be my once every 6 months sump cleanout. I clean out my return pump, skimmer/pump and entire sump every 6 months and it's a big job. And frankly, annoying, lol. But I'm not made of money and don't want anyone inside the house right now anyways so it will continue to be just me on maintenance.

Algae removal of every kind. I hate cleaning the glass, I hate picking random spots that my CuC misses and absolutely hate cleaning up my sump.

In a way I do sorta pay someone to do it for me... I have "paid" an army of snails and crabs to do most of this work...

I'd love a trident for testing but my ancient apex works and I'm not going to mess with it. I don't remember how I set it up and I really don't want to do it again.

I don't pay any one I do it all myself but even though I do this particular task very often I hate it n that's testing . Not sure if I could I would but I don't like that one part. Thanks guys R

Nothing. I actually really enjoyed tank tasks. It was my ME time. And I got to do maintenence uninterrupted.

I would never pay anyone to do anything to my tank. If something happens I dont want anyone to blame but myself. Plus I'm obsessed (OCD) and like the maintainance side of the tank.

Personally I hate harvesting cheato, everytime I do some finds its way into skimmer inlet. Just sets off a chain reaction

I enjoy most basic tasks and can't think of much I'd trust someone else to do. A few things i hate... testing phosphate, testing magnesium, scrubbing the mix bin, but I'd be standing over whoever's shoulder anyhow, explaining just how I want it done... so may as well do it myself

Cleaning equipment every 3-6 months. Be a lot easier if you had 2 of everything and you could just swap them out. Clean the dirty ones on another day

I would pay someone to change and wash my filter socks!
