Past week or so it has turned up it's foot as seen on the pictures. At first we thought it was trying to move though that has been it's position for more than a month at this point. Other than that it has not expanded out to it's normal size for a bit.

We are curious is it actually trying to live even though it hasn't really moved from it's current spot? Is it splitting/tearing it's foot to grow a baby?

Lights have not been adjusted for at least 3 weeks.

Current parameters using salifert
Ph at 8.2 before lights turn on
Nitrates 20ppm
Phosphates . 08ppm
Alkalinity 10.9

Past two weeks is the only thing that has really changed is all and that has slowly been decreasing.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

It looks like it's going through a phase. You are on high end of alk. Also you said light change for 3 weeks then it's still adjusting. Around 100 par for these. Tank looks pretty new? Cyano?

Sounds good on the adjusting. Yeah about a month ago we rented a par meter to verify it's location was good and map out the tank.

Possibly cyano, last time we had this it was diatoms. Not slimy in appearance or boogery. More dusty especially when blown off rocks. So we assume it's diatoms or another kind of algae
And yes we just passed the 4 month mark.
