Zebra Eel on Euro Braced Tank

Hi all,

I have a 130 gallon euro braced community reef tank. Will a Zebra Eel be okay with just euro bracing or do I truly need a lid? Is that the best eel option for a community reef or should I consider another species?

A 130 is going to be cramped with a zebra, they are very large eels. Mine is a little over 3 feet now and growing. A snowflake is smaller and might be a better option since they only get 2 feet max. And yeah both should be fine but will eat any inverts like crabs and shrimps. A zebra is thicker too so it might knock corals off. And a lid is recommended, Im currently in the process of re doing my canopy and closing the back off since my tank is euro braced too but its asking for trouble if you dont have something.

This is a picture of my snowflake and zebra so you can see the size difference between the two. The zebra is way thicker and longer than my snowflake who is full grown. Just something to think about in a smaller tank (my eels are in a 300 gallon) especially with corals that might get knocked off
