At Reefapalooza last weekend we spotted a new company called Zenium hawking a new phosphate removing media. This media looks like large beads of Aluminum Oxide at first (like Phosgard) but we were told this is the first time that Lithium Chloride is being offered to the reef aquarium world for phosphate removal. Now we already know […]

From quick google search it would appear Lithium Chloride is water soluble so does that mean the media would slowly dissolve and then like Lanthanum Chloride precipitate? How safe it the precipitated material. In case of LaCl3 it need to be removed from the system with a 5 micron sock. Anyway, hoping @Randy Holmes-Farley could chime in.

Hello R2R,

My name is Luc and I am the founder of Zenium.

@Jake, I want to thank you for taking the time to write about us.

Unfortunately, it looks like there was a bit of a miscommunication and I am not quite sure how it happened. I do want to apologize if it happened on our end.

I wanted to be very clear that our product does not contain any trace of lithium.

Thank you.

@ Zenium,

Can you please at least take the time here to introduce your product so there is no 'miscommunication' down the line.
