Hey guys. I’ve had a few colonies go white over night.
They’re not huge, like 20-30 head colonies.
Half of my stratosphere colony is white now.
Any ideas?

Could be bacterial. Could be chemical. Do you run carbon or dose iodine?

What are your light settings?
FTS?
Parameters?
Any changes in your tank?

My tank is solid, parameters are good. not sure about trace elements.
but its singular colonies or frags at a time. leads me to believe its not my parameters.
Im thinking its a parasite specific to zoas

I’d check your trace elements. If you don’t want to do that just do some large water changes to be safe. Maybe take a test before water changes to see what element may be off.

An update on this.
It looks like whatever it is goes from colony to colony. It’ll kill a few heads and the rest will be retracted for a week or so then come back.
Have not done a trace element test yet as life has been super busy lately. But I will soon
