Hello all,
I hope all of you are fine due to corona..
Today i saw some of my zoa are closed as its in the picture. Opened zoa and closed zoa are the same type. They were all open yesterday but today i saw haf of them as closed. Something covered them up? I dont understand about it. Can you help me on this? Is there any problem? My water quality is normal.
Thanks a lot.

I don’t see pests or infection, but agree with the light reply. Usually the thinning/elimination of the mat (that spreads to new growth) means something’s wrong. Probably light and not as much nutrients as they like.
good news is that’s the easiest to change lol

My light is 30w led, distance between light and this zoa is 20inch. Is it bad? It was good and they were opened before.

Agree on lighting. They also desire moderate flow and some iodine in their water.
Gently blow the zoas with a turkey baster in the event there is sediment irritating them. You should see a fine dust dissipate.
What is your tank temperature and salinity ?

I think you need to bump up the lighting or consider something more substantial for lighting. The rhodactis is really stretching and the other mushrooms are really big, so they are trying to capture all the light they can. Rent a par meter and check, but just from looking at your corals, it's telling me lack of light.

I would have to say it would be due to the lighting right now mainly and some zoas like different levels of flow. Try moving them around and just observe them further until you reach success.

Thanks a lot for your comments! My temperature is 26C degree and salinity is 1025. I have rw4 and rw8 working with low conditions. My light is small as you can see in the picture. I will move the zoa higher and see whats happenning then. Its good that you didnt see any infection or something that covers it.

I would really think about upgrading the light, long term. You’re not going to be able to move all the corals up and they are all showing signs of low light. Sunblaster T5’s are fairly inexpensive and would light your tank without issue. One blue + and one coral +

A cheap easy solution would be something like this
