Zoa Lifecycle

I love zoas and have them in several areas of my tank. I have found that some will just start growing prolifically and take over other zoas and choke them out. Then over time, they start to fade a bit and another zoa will take over and choke out others. It seems like I always have one on the rampage and eventually another one (that may have been there all along or could be new) starts taking over.

Anyone else? Right now, my chemical romance and JF star gazers are taking over.

I really like the big zoa on top! I have a similar one but not as beautiful.

honestly, this is just what happens in all closed systems without super proactive pruning.

One of your corals will just edge out other species, and will be at an advantage with chemical/physical warfare, until it outgrows its welcome and then the cycle continues
