The loss of color in your coral could be due to several factors, such as insufficient or excessive lighting, changes in water quality (e.g., nitrates or phosphates), or inadequate nutrient levels. Zoanthids, which your corals resemble, often lose vibrancy if they're not getting the right balance of light intensity or if they’re stressed. Adjusting your tank's lighting schedule or testing water parameters might help restore their color. For tailored advice, consider consulting a marine aquarium specialist or providing more details about your tank setup! I use Acropower for color and to make the color because if u have a protein skimmer it takes all the ammo acids out so I use that to help it works it's two little fishy Acoro power buy it

Sounds like a ChatGPT response initially but mixed with hallucination regarding amino acid’s effect on zoas? I’m curious how a protein skimmer “takes all the ammo acids out”? Should the OP turn off the skimmer? Also, can you please elaborate on how Acropower can affect zoas’ coloration?

OP: looks like a variant of a Purple People Eater to me judging from the disk & mouth. Sometimes merchants used excessive actinics and image enhancing software so what you see on the web may not what you get.

amino acids can help corals gain color by acting as the building blocks for proteins responsible for pigmentation, and by supporting overall coral health and tissue growth.

protein skimmers can remove amino acids from an aquarium by attracting hydrophobic and amphipathic both hydrophobic and hydrophilic amino acids to the air-water interface of the bubbles they generate so yes to answer both of your questions The protein skimmer to stake out amino acids and Amino acids to give coloration and help support corals.
