Just curious what's growing to the left of my zoanthids? The little piece of wood they're on has sprouted a couple new polyps the past few weeks as well.

Thank you

Aiptasia, an unwanted pest anemone that can become invasive. The frag is on an piece of calcium carbonate, reef rock.

The first time I saw aiptasia in my tank, my LFS recommended a peppermint shrimp. I got one and the aiptasia disappeared.

For a single aptasia, you can try this. Take the small piece of rock out and drop a drop or two of vinegar on it. let it dry and cover that spot with super glue. This remedied a single aptasia I had on a small rock with some mushrooms. I have not had any issues since.
