I am getting a good deal on a lot of nice zoas and have no room in my 125.. if I set up a 36gal tank and put 40lbs. bag "live sand" and lots of nice live rock in there and set it up tonight will it be ok to add the zoas tomorrow? Anything I can do?

I would think if you did a 36g water change in your existing ESTABLISHED tank and used that water in the new tank, you'd be fine.

I don't believe you will be fine. Most of the beneficial stuff lives on the surfaces in your tank and not in the water it self. I would suggest taking some live rock and/or sand from your larger tank for a quick seed.

I'm gonna put about 60 lbs of this rock in there. I mean I can put them in this tank here for now I just don't want to loose all the frags. When it's time to put them in the 36gal

I'd recommend adding some bacteria in a bottle tonight...something like Biospira and then check levels tomorrow before putting them in.

I know patience is the key I've been doing saltwater for about 7 years now. I just have no room in my reef tank so was going to keep them in that tank until I can make room and glue them in my reef. There's over 30 frags of zoas so I couldn't add them just yet.
