what is your acclimation/dip process? tank water parameters? any changes(lighting, flow, salt, fish, invert, etc) to the tank before adding this zoa?

This zoa has been in my system for over a year, no changes to the system.

it happened again to my thermosphere zoa in a different system as well

those "high end" zoa's are notorious for melting.

send out an ICP test to see if any contaminants are in your water like high metals which can kill/hurt coral.

I agreee with you , it’s just random how it happens in different systems , i have 9
