What could be the reason for this weird shape? Could it be low light? It was fine when I first added the frag to the tank.

background on my tank - These are the first few corals added to my tank. It's been a couple weeks and I've noticed this one growing out weird. Notice the sunny Ds in the corner of the pic look normal.

I posted this twice a couple weeks apart recently. I have since observed my tank and found it to be a feeding response. I have some daisy cutters that we’re doing it. And since have seen my red people eater palys doing the same thing.

After dosing phyto, they do this nearly every time.

Great observation. I definitely remember feeding the corals (reef roids) before taking that pic, maybe a one or two hours before. I will observe if there is any change tomorrow and report back.

Just scraped my bit of algae film off the glass and this happened about 5 minutes later
