Just to make sure y'all don't think I'm biased based on my last post..

I also run 5 - XR30 G6s, 6 - XR15 G6s and I'm still rocking my XR15 G4s. I also use S2 and M2 Versa pumps.

Tunze just happens to be my preference for powerheads. 🕵️‍♂️

After my Ecotech wet side rusted out and killed thousands of dollars of SPS, I will not own them again. I use going Tunze and Panta Rhei on my upcoming build.

Thank you everyone who chimed in. I have a lot to think about and everyone provided some outstanding feedback on the options.

This community is really impressive.

Thank you for having me!

I almost pulled the trigger on a DMP last night, but after almost wetting my pants from an electrical shock, I think I want to buy something from one of the major brands.
A little water on the floor can quickly turn your head around? 🤣

I have been searching around for the rhyming pumps all evening and I can’t seem to find Sambo powerhead for sale near me?

I also recommend having a ground probe for all of these things. Glad you lived to share the story.😇

All have their pros and Cons. My current system I am using Tunze. The App has a learning curve and in development, but they do push a ton of water.
The company has been in business for a very , very long time.
You may have mentioned already, but what size tank?
People talk about cables in the water, you can place them in a way that in not obtrusive. If they talk about a safety factor, there is also your return pumps, skimmer pump and heaters with cords in the water.
As cool as the MP40’s are, they are limited in a lot of ways as well. Also $$$ for what you get IMO.

You trade small piece of wire in the tank for a WART with a wire on your glass outside.
This was something I never gave much thought on before buying the 2 DMPs and honestly, I hated the look of them, plus they kept falling off the glass and were extremely loud imo, I'm very glad I was able to refund on mine.
