You're awesome. This was my 3rd frag and they're not making it for some reason. I found a local hobbyist that has a small encrusted rock which hopefully will work better. Will keep you posted if im still having crummy luck.

Alright, time for some peechurs. I love the zen quality of planted tanks, and I am rather taken in with miniature gardens. The foot print of the pico is 7X7X8 making this the ideal size for the miniature garden idea.

The picture that inspired me the most is below:

At first I used emarco mortar over a PVC pipe to make a tree trunk, that didn't work out that well. Then I used polymer clay to make a creepy looking 'thing' which was just a prototype.

I contacted a professional sculptor but they were unsure of using polymer clay and of making what I wanted. So I had to try again.

I baked this for the suggested time, it hardened. Then I sealed it with krylon fusion clear.

Using birdsnest skeletons, I painted them with krylon fusion and used them for branches.

The finished product is a spooky tree. Sealed with krylon fusion and cured in salt water for 4 weeks.

The GSP is my first official livestock addition.
There are lots of bits, the largest being the piece on the back right which is from my established tank. The rest of the bits are gifts from my friends in Dallas. Could I get a FMV please?

The bits of macro is not yet a confirmed addition to the tank, I put it in to see how the color would contrast in there. Also the Xenia on the left is attached to the magnet cleaner and is also not part of livestock for this tank. There's also a small tuft of bryopsis for the lettuce sea slugs, not to be considered livestock. :nerd:

Cool!!!!!!

Looks great!! :)
Thank you. I'm tempted to keep a pair of dwarf seahorses. Those branches are perfect hitching posts aren't they? But the water quality issue in a 3G is what is making me hesitant. And I travel so it would be very tough to take care of this tank when I am away if I had ponies. decisions decisions.

I was thinking a yellow sea cucumber would look cool in there. Odd little critters remind me of a spooky theme.
