Nice scape coming along, what are you using to secure rockwork?

Thanks everyone. I sand down the bottom of the base rocks on concrete to get a flat surface. I play with the rocks to get them to be able to stand without any support. I use epoxy and very little acrylic rods to attach the branches to the base rock. This scape is made up of three separate structures and a few loose rocks around. I glued additional pieces to the large structures on the side where they wanted to lean in order to stabilize them. The whole thing is very sturdy.

The Tank is in place. I added water and sand today.

I still have to clean up cables and put the doors on.

The tank is plumbed so that water changes are just two buttons away. It will take about 6 minutes for a 15 gallon water change. I have a place in the basement for mixing water directly under the tank. A mag24 pushes the water up and a eheim 1000 drains my sump. I also have a BRS ato pump drawing water up from the basement.

Now i have to figure out why apex keeps shutting off equipment randomly.

The cycle has started. I threw in a few jumbo shrimp a few nights ago. The water is finally clearing up a bit.

U did a great job on the stand . Tank looked like it cleaned up nicely . I love it when ppl incorporate a dry side for electronics . I had to learn that the hard way .

Thanks.

Still in the planning stages for stocking. I will probably have a thread to help me decide =).. Since I am new to the hobby I will hold off on SPS for a little while.. probably start with some zoas, anenome (not sure yet which), thinking of some sort of black ice or snowflake clowns, once i have a good copepods population i will want a mandarin. Maybe a kole tang... not sure yet.

I can dig it!

Take your time is right! I wish I would have slowed down, I realized afterwards that it's not a race...

Can't wait to see the progression

Very nice! The stand is beautiful. I think that tank got a serious OWNER upgrade! Tagging along...

HAHA Thanks. The guy who sold me the tank is an awesome guy. He was more into koi and stingrays though. This was his smallest tank by far. He had a koi pond in his basement. It must have been about 2000 gallons.
