Thank you Rev it's a great feeling to be back able to rejoin the hobby after being blessed with a positive turn in my study chemo and give thanks to the Lord for it all. A update built a skimmer stand and looks like it'll work nicely here's a pic of skimmer on it. Water tested sump n ran beautifully yesterday. Soon as we have return pump it's getting ran for water test for leaks. Then sand and sw n start cycling.

Well after scans today at U of M we stopped for dinner in Lansing and Mari wanted to stop at preuss pets a awesome lfs store about a hour from us halfway between us and U of M. We found a deal on a brand new return pump simular to the one planned so picked it up. Tomorrow plan is to water test it all running

:thumbup: pics of the return pump in its new home and the controller end up mounting on other side then pic. Wires need to be ran n hidden yet but getting there bit by bit. The wife is awesome the best ever she and my son are the reason I've started this again and been helping pay for the stuff needed for it along with my son Steven Jr. They have got me feeling positive again and wanted to enjoy the hobby again as a family. She also found first fish a friend has to babysit till we're ready. Luckily he owns a lfs that's awesome 15 minutes from us. Pic of her fish pick for the new setup also. God bless......Steve

Well finally got plumbing done everything hooked up and filled with ro/di water the rock was dry rock so just been leaching anything that may be in it out while water testing for leaks. Letting everything run n flush till Tuesday. We got plenty of sand from a local reefer and washed it out with ro/di yesterday. When we drain everything we are going to use water to wash sand again one more time before adding to tank. Then sw and we're off starting to cycle. Also getting the gyre xf 130 Tuesday. Couple pics of it running today testing for leaks ect.

Pic of inside stand ran a line with cap off return for future use of reactors. And some brs supplies with jugs n pumps free from another reefer to help as stock of corals grows.

Well sand and saltwater are in and it's cycling for few days now. Very happy with that. Got our maxspect gyre xf130 today and hooked up things awesome already very happy with it already. Need a Ato yet n few odds n ends for running water from basement up to tank for easier water changes. We are running a drain/fill line so it can drain into basement utility sink and fill from saltwater barrel. No lugging buckets around n up n down stairs. Finally got rock as we want it's coming together nicely I think. Also got our test kits yesterday ups. Few pics enjoy

Thank you for the kind words. Have little algae bloom starting as cycle continues been kinda laying low fighting respiratory congestion so don't end up in hospital again. But saw Dr Redman yesterday n said he's not to worried n we did another round of chemo so getting over that yet by tomorrow hopefully be better as for side effects n continue watching the cycling n getting over congestion.
