All the Xenia has melted off and there is no sign of life at all. The aiptasia goes back down inside the rock before I can put glue or anything on it.There is still Xenia on it too. Just give it 6 weeks.

Nope. Remember that frag you got that had it? They float off in the water too. Just put a little lemon juice on it out of water, rinse with rodi. They will always be an issue in tanks.I really hope it's not spread yet its been in the tank a few weeks now. Does it only spread on a rock it's touching? And I guess that explains why some of the Xenia that was around it sometimes would be all drawn up.
I don't have any lemon juice I might have glue here somewhereNope. Remember that frag you got that had it? They float off in the water too. Just put a little lemon juice on it out of water, rinse with rodi. They will always be an issue in tanks.
Then just trash the rock. No big deal. All the Xenia has melted off and there is no sign of life at all. The aiptasia goes back down inside the rock before I can put glue or anything on it.
I'm so sorry I killed the gift you gave me.Then just trash the rock. No big deal.
Lol. No worries. It happens to all of us!I'm so sorry I killed the gift you gave me.
She seems very happy. You gave my girl an ocean and a mate. Her dreams came true.
Yes she does! She seems very happy.
Maybe.I just put the rock in a bucket without water that should kill it also right?
I had four and they never touched it before I accidently murdered them. I plan on replacing them but my LFS didn't have anymore when I checked last week.Peppermint shrimp should eat aiptasia if you don't already have one.
I just removed the rock from the aquarium but I will remember that for next time.If you still haven't treated the rock, I find that boiling water is the surest way to kill aiptasia. They can spread both sexually and asexually, and can do so more often when bothered. Boiling them is great because even if they release gametes, they'll be cooked!
that's apstatiaThis is what's left on the Xenia rock. It doesn't pulsate and seems thick compared to the others that were on the rock. Is it still Xenia or is it something else?
Thank you others had said the same so I removed the rock last Friday when I posted the picture.that's apstatia
