I'm curious how many here actually have their aquariums, or some of it in the basement and some in the living room.

Only thing in the basement is the rodi, but that's cause the house is from 1886, and the basement is stacked stone.

My 210 is in my basement didn’t want to have to reinforce the floors. Plus side is I get to go hide away by myself and watch my tank. Downside would be I can’t see it all the time. Another plus is I don’t hear it at all and equipment can be louder so doesn’t matter if it’s a little loud.

180 display in the living room with a 125g sump in the basement. I have a 100g stock tank in the basement also along with all the rodi and salt mixing stuff. Our basement is unfinished so I don't worry about spilled water and such.
I recently bought a pond pump and a remote controlled outlet and roll my brute container to the bottom of the stairs and pump water up when I do changes. I do the same with my rodi brute to fill ato containers on the first floor. At the moment I have 4 tanks running on the first floor and I was carrying buckets up but I'm getting to old for that. Water changes on the 180 are all done in the basement by the removing water from the sump down there.
