I've got a 30 gallon tank and I lose about a gallon a week. While doing my weekly water changes, I normally remove 3 gallons and add in 4.

I'm glad I found this post because I was concerned that my new ATO was malfunctioning about having to add water on a frequent basis.

I lose approximately 1.5-2 gallons a day.
125 gallon DT with a 30 gallon sump. LEDs for lighting.

I've only had water in tank for 3 weeks will update this in a year.

Thought I was losing my mind but after reading everyone’s posts the amount of evaporation is normal. 3-4G on a 90G display with a 13G frag tank plumbed to a 45G Sump, running 3 Ai Primes and a Hydra 26. Plus it’s winter and the house heater is basically always on

I didn't want to necro this one but you all did it for me... so thoughtful.

I am loosing about 1.25g/day on my 100 with a 25g sump... my tank is only 5mos old now and I am adding the rodi manually... thinking about an ato though for less salinity shift...

Just under a gallon a day with 65 DT 15 gal sump. My skimmer is the main culprit on evaporation. With skimmer off about a half gal a day.

In my 10 gallon open experiment tank (neglected) which is currently cycling(?) I lose 2 gallons per 4 days. In my 75 gallon (open) with a 20gallon dyi fuge/sump I'm out at least 5 gallons every 3-4 days in winter. Dunno about summer days I set it up at the tail end and it was covered but i got tired of cleaning the covers. But when it was covered i would guess I lost maybe 1/2 gallon per 2 days.
