Thank you I'll get more sump pics but it's just plain right now skimmer, heater, reactor. I was going to do a refugium but since the ich I haven't started one yet also I'm waiting on a trade for a skimmer cause the one that's in just isn't cutting it and my RO is to big. I have a trade for a nac6 or a aqua c ev 240.

Ok well I traded my RO 150 for a aqua c ev 240 and am not pleased with it super tight fit not happy with that had to take off the whole gate valve assembly to get it in I can barley get the cup on and off. The pump drains my sump down on the drain side but it's not sucking it dry. I think I need a bigger return pump then. I'll get some pics right now.

The white line on top is where the water level was before the install.

And you can kinda see the two marker lines I drew on the sump to the right half way down that my max and min line.
Can I have the pump for the skimmer in the chamber after the skimmer? Where the skimmer exits into? If this doesn't work out witch it's looking like it won't ill just trade this skimmer for a different one again. Smh sigh.

Where my finger is where the water is in the first two chambers. Chamber 1 drain, 2 sump, 3 probes bio balls, 4 heater, 5 is return. I was thinking putting pump in chamber 3 where the skimmer drains into. Will that work.

It looks like you have the skimmer on a stand to get proper water height for skimmer and it also looks like you have the pump for the skimmer sitting on the bottom of the sump instead of on a riser. Imo you need to get that pump up at the same height of the skimmer. If you can trade for a better skimmer I would or save up and buy a better one.

This skimmer doesn't need to be at any level it can be ran internal or external it needed the stand for the drain to clear the baffle. Sorry I didn't clarify the pump in the last pic is my return pump. I did move the skimmer pump into chamber 3. All is working fine so far but I think I'm going to get a new or different skimmer the hassle this is going to be for maintenance on the skimmer I just rather get something that all I have to do is in plug it take it out and clean it, instead of disassemble the entire thing just to get it out.

Check into atb skimmers they are on the expensive but are well worth the money. Also super easy to use.

Thank you. No I still have the same skimmer I just put a mag 18 on it and it's doing better but is still a pain in the but to clean lol. I might get a different skimmer sometime down the line but for now this will have to do.
