This skimmer doesn't need to be at any level it can be ran internal or external it needed the stand for the drain to clear the baffle. Sorry I didn't clarify the pump in the last pic is my return pump. I did move the skimmer pump into chamber 3. All is working fine so far but I think I'm going to get a new or different skimmer the hassle this is going to be for maintenance on the skimmer I just rather get something that all I have to do is in plug it take it out and clean it, instead of disassemble the entire thing just to get it out.It looks like you have the skimmer on a stand to get proper water height for skimmer and it also looks like you have the pump for the skimmer sitting on the bottom of the sump instead of on a riser. Imo you need to get that pump up at the same height of the skimmer. If you can trade for a better skimmer I would or save up and buy a better one.
Ok thanks I'll give them a look at.Check into atb skimmers they are on the expensive but are well worth the money. Also super easy to use.
Thank you. No I still have the same skimmer I just put a mag 18 on it and it's doing better but is still a pain in the but to clean lol. I might get a different skimmer sometime down the line but for now this will have to do.Wow! Looks nice and great update! Did you ever get a new skimmer? Reef is filling in very nicely.
