Awesome build, Hunter!

I am impressed with the amount of planning in that stand. Those deflection sketches made my head hurt! My next project will have an 80/20 stand (way off) so I may revisit those sketches then (and hit up a local "club guy" I just found out is a structural engineer! );)

I remember you saying how much it was driving you nuts, but a frag of that pocillapora (from you) is the best-growing SPS I have! (of the three I haven't managed to kill!)

I am subscribed as well. Wish I had found this when it started...

LOVE the barn wood and can't wait to see the rest of this project come together.
Thanks for the kind words; we're getting closer!

Thanks John!
I'm pretty sure that stuff would grow in the dark while being gently misted. :p

Being the planner that I am (breaking news at this point, right?), I did some space planning over the weekend.

New house, new furniture, new tank. Yup, I'm excited. :p
The fun starts this weekend!

Will the sump be under the tank?

Wow that sump is huge. Who's building the sump? Triton?
Titan, yes. But I may have mislead you a bit. The first picture is the tank, the second picture are the sump pieces sitting on top of a router table. ie - not yet assembled :p

Thank you.

Yes; there's a sketch and dimensions back the previous page (page 4, post #69).

Love these floors. My wife and I want to rip out our wood floors and replace with the tile ones like this. My overweight lazy Boxer has scratched the heck out of our wood and I'm not looking forward to seeing what the water spills from my tank have done to the floors under the stand.

Definitely following along.

That is going to be an incredible display tank!

This is the part of having a custom tank built that would be so hard for me.... I would want to have my hands on it, and play with it, and would basically be going nuts right about now...

That reactor sounds cool, looking forward to seeing it. Loving this build so far. Keep the photos coming!
