That is one great tank. It is money, but more so it is also time, care, and dedication. We want that tank to look as great 20 years + from now as today. Keep up the great work. And give us more info about the tank and your success.
Hi,
#WelcometoR2R Great advice already. Take a step back and let the tank settle in. As mentioned that ammonia level would not be concerning.
I would ask looking at the numbers , are you dosing or which salt are you using. I would focus on getting the tanks stable and ich under control.
Hello and #WelcometoR2R @MBCook
Yes, if you do as planned you can keep them out. But, fear not even if they get in does not mean they will always be in there. I am with you about the icky factor, but to be honest after a few years of my tank not having them I kind of miss them. My tank used to...
Hello and #WelcometoR2R
Sounds interesting. I would suggest doing a build thread so everyone can check it out and see the baskets. Also, maybe post a link to where you found them.
We love to see pics
First #WelcometoR2R! There are many members that have set up Evo 13.5 tanks and posted there build threads so you may want to check out that section here on R2R for tips.

Hello and #WelcometoR2R
Can you give a little information about the tank. How long has it been running and what are the water parameters at? It could be a few things, possibly some cyano.
Evening and #WelcometoR2R @Ocean_dreamer89
Tank looks good. What light was the shop using and what are you using? It may need some higher par to get the full opening. You could also try a spot feeding of some coral food to see if it prompts a feeding response and opens up more. I would not be...
Hi,
#WelcometoR2R
Where you at in NC?
81 is not to bad if it was slow rise. A few other things you can along with icthyogreek great advice is float small baggies with ice cubes since it is a small tank. Point a power head toward the top to speed up evaporation which will help cooling, or use...
...systems so not sure how they work. If you do get a standard sump, the socks don’t mean hassle. They have mesh socks that are less maintenance and can be rinsed quicker. There are also media cups that can be filled with floss or bonded pad. So lots of options.
Keep us updated and #WelcometoR2R
Hello,
#WelcometoR2R @wettrally
Can you give us some info so we know what we are dealing with in order to help better. What type of fish, how long have you had it, and can you post a picture? Maybe describe your set up and help us get to know your system
Hey @Jeves360
Let us say #WelcometoR2R
The current is a good light, people get results, I think it lags the power.
Let me know if this is what you are thinking. The 4” hybrid fixture. That should come with a hanging kit, no lights. The 2 Coral + on the outside, 2 Blue + on the inside, and...
Good evening,
First would like to say #WelcometoR2R
Bummer the first post has to be a trouble shooting one. Hopefully we can find another user tonight that has experienced the same situation and can help.
Well, #WelcometoR2R and back from the crash. Sounds like it’s going good.
Feel free to give us some more info about the tank, set up and pics so we can all check it out. We love pics.
Hi and #WelcometoR2R
Sounds like a solid plan so far. A few things to adjust. the pump will need to be beefed up.
After plumbing and head pressure the 2.0 will not have enough flow. I have been running a Maxspect jump dc 8 for a while now. I can recommend it. Price is great, powerful and...
Just stopped in to say #WelcometoR2R and congrats on grad.
I think I had tanks since around graduation and still today. Back then we had to make them from stone o_O .
Not sure if this is your 1st, so I attached one of the more popular of our articles for reference...
Just saying hi, and #WelcometoR2R
Got great advice all around. As @andrewey mentioned I don’t think you need more ammonia, and as mentioned I think your cycled. Also mentioned would be to hold off on coral.
My 2 suggestions. Research and put in a fish appropriate for you tank size and a...
#WelcometoR2R and congratulations on your new home!!! It looks like you have an in-wall display tank (DT) and a sump. Here are a few resources that you might find helpful:
