Fluconazole

2 days ago I dosed fluconazole for a Hair algae problem did all my research dose the proper dosage everything in the tank as far as corals look wonderful I am seeming to have 2 issues 1 being the tank water is cloudy the 2nd is my scopes Tang became pale and is Breathing extremely heavily and will not eat ive now added an air stone to try and help him thinking the oxygen leavels dropped also should i be running a sock

Are you running a skimmer? I also find corals more sensitive to low oxygen than fish, but take that with a grain of salt, I can rarely keep a tang alive for more than a month.

I have however use fluconazole on 3 or 4 different systems with no ill effect on any of the desirable life forms. However, given the algae may be dying, your oxygen levels could drop (fewer plants = less oxygen). Which goes back to my skimmer point, if you are running a skimmer that should be mixing enough oxygen into the water column.

Including adding a sock, I would run carbon as well as a UV filter (I like my little Green Killing Machine, dirt cheap, very effective) to get the water cleared up. As for the the fish, hopefully someone else chimes in!

thank you for the advice yes I am running the skimmer and i will add the sock and carbo thank you
