Hello,
Can anyone help me ID this small orangey-tan anemone that arrived on my Pom Pom macroalgae? Surprised to see something show up like this from Algaebarn. It only appears to be on one clump of many from what I can see, but in case its aphasia I will remove all the other pieces for inspection.
I was just observing the tank as I do and noticed this little critter come out from a hole in the rock.
It looks like some kind of shell-less snail or slug.
Any ideas on what it is and if it's good or bad?
Hey all
Sorry I’ve been a right pain with questions this week but final couple from me! Can anyone identify these?
1) grey patch which is slightly raised, seems to have spread slightly the past 2 weeks
Struggling to get a pic as it keeps disappearing but also have a very small feather...
I noticed this growing on a piece of my gsp. The gsp hasn't seemed to extend its polyps for a while so I'm wondering if this is the case. Any idea what it is?
Hey everyone! Back again with another critter ID!
Found this clam-like critter on one of the shells that this hermit has been carrying around for a while
At first I figured it was just some sort of abnormal growth from the snail that used to call this shell home.
I noticed recently that this...
I picked up some coral from a local dealer and found this guy with one of my favia’s. Seems to be a snail but not quite sure. Don’t know if I should let him loose in my tank or not.
I've scoured hitchhiker id posts here but cannot seem to find anything similar. Would appreciate some help. I noticed this yesterday at lights out. Reacts quickly to any sound, movement or light changes. Tank is 3 months old with live sand.

What is this hitchiker? Looks like a fireworm due to the glass hair spines but its too short to be one
and the belly looks like a suction cup type deal similar to abalones
Found this guy on a small chunk of liverock I just added to my nano tank last night. Is this an aiptasia? I've already removed the rock it is on from the tank just in case, but if it isn't aiptasia I'd like to add it back since that stuff is expensive. I don't usually use live rock so I'm...
(Tank Move and 8 week update posted in replies, July 30th)
Greetings!
Doing a bit of an experiment. I will get into more details as to why I am doing this particular plan in future posts. For now, the short version is that I am starting a 10g nano tank as a QT/Observation tank for live rock...
Hello good people of R2R, I have what I think is a Eunice worm in my tank but would love to hear that I am wrong. It decided to come out with the lights on today and I was able to get a decent look at it, and even snap some terrible photos- it is VERY sensitive to movement so unfortunately these...
Was checking my tank under red light last night and noticed some kind of tube worm (?) on one of my softies.
It looked a bit like a feather duster at first, but zooming in on my camera I noticed it has a forked appearance.
I just want to know if it is something nasty - has already been through...
I'm looking for an ID on these little purple buds that appeared on my zoa frag. They survived a coral dip when I first got them, so I wasn't too concerned about them until I found more elsewhere in the tank. I'm thinking they're some sort of clove polyp as I think they have multiple arms, but...
Hi, I bought this lobophyllia attached to the rock. I already dip it using redsea Dipx.
Just notice there's a hitchhiker on the rock while I made a hyperlapse.
Please help me Id this
I got these Fuzzy white polyp-like inverts that has started to grow on my reef rock
They kinda look like hydroids or miniture soft corals
Just want to comfirm if they may be anything bad or i should just leave it
Hey, i'm so fascinated by hitchhikers than i could buy live rocks everyday to get new ones!
But here are the one i still have doubt on what it is.
I think they may be corals for 1 (the thing with big filaments) & 2, they are open when lights are on but maybe a pest anemon for 3?
Thank you for...
Hello, I obtained a zoanthid frag which included a small piece of rock the zoanthid was on. I dipped and quarantined the coral and put it in my my main tank two week later after it looked free and good. Now a week later I notice these are popping there heads out of the rock to get light but...
