You might want to have a closer look at what you've got then to make sure it isn't some type of turf algae. In principle, Flux works quickly on bryopsis, medium fast on GHA and slowly on bubble algae (but only at higher concentration). Turf I have no idea--that stuff is tough.

My flucanozole didn't work until I took the rusty magnet out. Find out what's feeding the algae and the fluco will work faster.

Which of your tanks has the problem? The 65 or the 15? The green machine works. Get the higher wattage one for best results. Medium wattage is OK for the 15. You'll need the higher wattage for the bigger tank. There's also the ones sold by Innovative Marine that are good units and medium range in terms of cost. Then you get to the inline UV units that cost a bazillion dollars.

What do you need UV for again?

65 gallon. 15 isn't even set up yet sadly. I need my light and a way better stand.

Ask for a Halloween urchin if they can get one - those are supposedly the best and safest.

Just had a look through your build thread. Any recent pictures of the tank? What wrasse do you have? I see you're also planning a tang and an angel. Is your chaeto running yet?

I'm not really the one to ask about equipment... I run decent but inexpensive on most of my gear. Flow and lighting are the two most important in my opinion. With the right flow and lighting, you can grow corals. Those corals will help filter your water. If necessary, add a skimmer because it helps keep things aerated and removes nutrients.

I would say get a Hanna ULR Phosphate tester, especially if you plan to have harder SPS corals anytime.

Yes tang definitely. Not sure about an angel. No chaeto is not running I'm not sure how to keep it in the filter. I have the light rho
