Ok what am I doing wrong I have tried just super glue gel to mount my frags on rocks and coral epoxy and a combination of both and still sometimes they fall off...

Have you done the "sandwich"? Super glue/epoxy/super glue?

Super glue is very temporary and will eventually break loose. It's great for holding frags until they encrust.

I only use super.glue but frequently have frags fall off. You're doing nothing wrong.

I've been having the frag fall off the plug even. but I've used super glue and hold for a while. when the Caribbsea rock was dry, I drilled 1/2" holes in it with a masonry bit then put the rocks in the tank. have not had any corals grow off the frag though.

Agreed, it does get quite brittle after a while. Epoxy lasts a long time, but I don't like the looks of a big wad of epoxy.

tank tripped again this morning. wasn't at the tank. the breaker didnt show it was tripped but it reset when I shut it off and back on. I'm thinking the heaters might be the issue. it sounds like they Arte turning on and off a lot. going too try and clean everything today.

I thought that as well but my husband said the hawks we have in this area are too small to take a full grown chicken.

I also like that super glue, is easier to snap off. Say your frag isn't liking the flow or lighting, before it encrusts it's super easy to just pop it off

I have never seen em this aggressive before! They usually just hang out and guard a little area, this time they are patrolling the tank actively looking to fight. It's wild

Hmmm... I've seen some falcons take chickens and they are about the same size as them. Also, Owls will take them too. I'm just throwing out my thoughts here and the GIF was just to be funny. Coyotes are probably the culprit.

My advice is to take them to the lfs, wait until you have some bigger fish and add another pair of clownfish later, I had to do it.

If i sumped my pair of clowns, is the general consensus that a single clown, without a mate would be less aggressive? Ever since i got back into maintaining my tank like I was supposed to they just spawn constantly

Wow! Sorry to hear that Mike. My female clownfish is a holy terror. Every time I stick my hand in the tank, she nails me. I've started wearing those long, rubber dishwashing gloves and she has stopped. I also figured it was best if I wasn't just sticking my hand in the tank and risk contamination from something on my hand. I was sure to buy pink ones too!
