Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
My mother used to make that when I was young. It goes by another name if I remember right, crap on a shingle.
Can't believe it didn't edit it to COS from SOS.
We actually called it SOS when we served it at the golf lodge to the Rotarians on Thursday morning.
They loved it.

Little tank broke siphon this morning while I was at work.
5 gallons of water on the floor.
My son was home and turned everything off thankfully.
This has been a problem on this tank before.
Fish were fine for 9 hours with nothing running.
They are so resilient.

I grew up working my family's business as well Tom. A couple of hurricanes got us finally after it was open over 50 years. I wouldn't trade that experience for anything. No allowance, but you could earn money.
My Grandfather quit National Cash Register in 1917 to go into business for himself buying, selling, and repairing cash registers, mainly because he disagreed with some of their business practices. My brother still has a photo of my grandfather on his horse-drawn wagon with the company name on it. My father took it over from him after WWII but my grandfather still helped out. Toughest old bird I ever knew. I once was working with him in our garage when he ran a ten-inch long, thin screwdriver through his palm clear up to the hilt. He flinched, pulled it out, wrapped an oily rag around his palm and kept going. He also used to make weekend trips from Cleveland to WV and climb the wall of a retirement home to visit his girlfriend.

My father was grooming me to take over but I wanted to go a different direction so I stayed until I trained my brother to take over and I went into electronics. I was dis-owned for a few years but we mended fences eventually I have no regrets. My brother changed the company name after my father passed and eventually closed it a few years ago.

I learned most of my problem-solving skills during those years and they have served me well.

I think I was in my late twenties when I learned the real name. It was always just SOS

Sorry to hit and run, but I gotta get up early to go pick up a friend to meet some people from church in the morning.. if you guys could say a prayer for my friend Gary I'd appreciate it.. he could use some right now..

They don't make em like that anymore. I sure wish they did. My scotch drinking Irish grandpa came back from WWII and opened up a saltwater outfitters store and baitshop. It was the first of its kind down here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. It was about to be my business as my parents were retiring. We lost the building 3 times to hurricanes and once to politics. You can build back from hurricanes, but not politics. I wouldn't trade the experience for anything, though.

Absolutely Mike. He's in my Prayers. I hope he finds some peace in the situation.

Actually I am a Spam fan. My daughter thought it was so gross when I fried up slices put cheese on it and made a sandwich like a grilled cheese or fried up slices to eat with eggs and hash browns.
We had fried spam, eggs, and potatoes for breakfast this morning.

Good morning everyone! Another busy day for me spraying one of Leo's pastures for weeds and working on the barn a bit too help with drainage inside. Then we are heading to a pretty good size gun store that my husband's been wanting to visit that's about 45 minutes from home. I hope everyone has a fantastic Saturday.
