Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
He keeps saying he's worried about what happens when the return pump goes out and the overflow keeps putting water into the sump. What should I tell him
When the pump shuts down, you'll siphon water to the bottom of the wier.
That's it.
Maybe 3 gallons.
You have plenty of room in your sump to take that 3 gallons because your sump is only 1/2 full at best.
In over 30 years I've run hob overflows and had a problem Maybe twice.
Both my fault trying to modify the box.
I've never used a lift pump either.
One of the joys of a hob box is you can move it anywhere
When you drill you're done.
To be honest Camden I've made more of a mess doing water changes than my hobs have ever made 🙃 😅

Water changes are chaotic. I'll send him this screenshot. What is a weir? My LFS sump is full and has tons of rock. What's up with that?

@00W what did you say about carbon dosing? I saw something this morning about it. HR nitrate remover or something.
Just look up carbon dosing chart in the search engine up top on r2r.
Follow the chart and pay attention and ask questions BEFORE YOU START.

Of course. Chemistry is something you have to take slowly or you'll harm yourself or others. One of my favorite classes.
