Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Rock,
Im pretty close to that in my 40 gallon, too.

I use a 3x3" square of filter floss I change twice a week. No skimmer, live rock in the back compartment of my aio. I do run carbon and do a 10 gallon water change every 2 or 3 weeks because the tank looks better after I do it and I enjoy it (We have all known for a while that, I ain't right).

There's not one strand of GHA in my tank. There could be tomorrow, but not today. That is because Ive been trying to head it off since day 1, preparing for it and not covering potential issues with too many chemicals or machines. This has kept any new growth manageable for my over sized cuc to handle.

Like you, I also believe too much automation makes you more prone to complacency as you'll want to trust the equipment to do the husbandry part for you.

Nope! These are ocean critters that we've placed in a glass box and that's something that has to be managed and tended too.
Love it brother! Simpler is better!

Well my fenders are certainly bent! That is probably the nicest coloration ive seen. Although that meteor shower coloration is almost surreal.
50$ frag from Jason fox yeah it’s a nice one lol don’t tell my wife

I'm happy to report that so far my new little RFA likes where I put it and send to have attached! I really hope it stays there!

It’s funny, my wife has zero interest in my tank, coming up on 4 years next month, I could slap the most expensive fish or coral in it and I would get zero questions.

My husband is the same way but he does like looking at them however if he ask where did that fish/coral come from all I have to say is oh its always been in there you just didn't notice it. Lol

Found her a place...

Been moving all afternoon...
Glad you found her a place! Housing here is limited and super expensive. I'm so glad we don't rent. I know people renting that part more than our mortgage payment. It doesn't help the market that we are not only a tourist town we are a college town.
