I used a HOB overflow for many years.

Yes he is! I had one in my 120g but he was way too shy with the established pecking order and I dont think he got enough to eat. Thats why I started with one this time! I love the coloration!

It has to do with how my dad has the eyelets in the roof. He won't help me reanchor them so I'm most likely on my own for this.. which might end badley

I have the hangers that go on the tank for mine. My celling is really really high where the tank is so hanging from the ceiling was not an option for me.

I have some too! I have been thinking about setting one up. @VintageReefer seems to love his!

Most of us have cryptic zones in our tank without meaning too.
After a few years turn over a rock and see what's on the bottom.
Most of the time you'll see sponges and other things that you don't see on the lit side of the rock.
It's another way to have creatures that help in removal of nutrients.
Now if you take this same methodology and do that in your sump, you've got the cryptic refugium.
I hope I explained that correctly.

Ah kessil A160s. Used to run them. I'm having issues with my REEFLEDS to be honest with you. I can't get them to light the tank.. waste of money?

Hot take here.. I've been offered an extremely good offer for a DC simplicity 120. It's an advanced skimmer that's 250$ on market but I'm offered 100$ with shipping. It's completely controllable in sump skimmer. Now this is a HOT take but.. what if I ran the remora, a fuge and the simplicity. Maybe take the remora out at some point of course. Should I take the deal?

I ran the 240 for a few months.
Worked well, built pretty well.
Has a jebao pump and you can fully disassemble it to clean so that's cool.
Good skimmer.
$100 shipped is good and if it's used, even better.
Having the skimmer in the sump is great.
If it overflows it overflows not on the floor.

I don’t know, I’m am not a Baker but for decades my wife, mother, aunts and cousins would spend a whole day making them before Christmas. I could see if my wife has a recipe but her family doesn’t write much down, you’ve got to stand next to them to learn.

That's the way my mom is. My wife's family only made spaghetti as a thrown together meatless meal on Fridays. After we were married, my wife called my mom to get her spaghetti recipe. My mom said, "I don't really have a recipe but this is what I do." My wife derived a recipe from this and is known and respected by members of at least 3 parishes for her spaghetti sauce. She claims that it is "Germanic" spaghetti since my mom is nearly 100% German and my dad is at least 50% German, Austrian, and Bavarian.
