Yeah my tiger loves that area. I have a deep sandbed so he cant reach all the way down, but that trunk is something else. He'll bury on the edges of the glass sometimes too. 100% recommend

Mexican turbos will go after that area sometimes also. Not a fan of their size though

I am a big fan of diamond gobies to turn over the sand bed. That being said I also have a tiger conch for cleaning the sand bed and he does a good job.

I've had one in the past but I wasn't a fan of the mess they made

I have a diamond goby that I have loved, such a hard worker and keeps my sand bed perfect. I thought he would have died a couple of months ago, his stomach is so pinched in. He keeps sifting through. He has way outlived there lifespan. I think I’m going to replace him with 2 twin spot gobies. There’s been a rumor that has been going around for a few years that Tim used to have one but he will neither confirm or deny.

Twinspot gobies are known to sift the sand with out the mess.

Actually my Lawnmower Blenny does it from time to time but it's not enough to make a difference. I think it needs a therapist... it stopped eating algae in favor of meat. Hangs around the feeding portal begging for mysis flakes and LRS reef frenzy. Always has a balloon belly

I usually always try to have Conches. Currently I don't have any though simply because of the hitchhiker Sand Sitting star. I want to keep the sand as dirty for him as possible. I know he won't survive long term but he's still kicking! Fairly certain the last time I got a good look at him he's starting to have some degradation so I'm not certain how much longer before I get another conch or 2.

I can if he's out but I don't really spot feed anything... I also don't have silversides or anything to feed him besides enriched frozen brine.

I currently have in my reef cleaners shopping cart a snail only crew for a 40 breeder, 22 bumble bee snails, 4 tiger conch and 2 fighting conch.
