Hello Thos. I'll give salsa a try next time. We usually get the Tostitos Restaurant style. but I would like a bit more kick. everyone else is chicken to step it up.
I always used hot salsa on my scrambled eggs before my friend gave me 10 bottles of his homemade hot sauce.

She is going to let me know. How does one train a fish to eat something?
Training a fish is like tricking it to realize food is good. I've never done it before so there's others that might explain it better but basically, it eats pods already - no training needed. Getting it to eat frozen is, from my understanding, adding some live baby brine and some frozen brine in a small "quarantine" tank. Then, once it's eating frozen for a few days or a week or so, start adding less frozen and start adding flakes or pellets. Maybe soaked in garlic or something to entice them. Eventually they'll either reject or accept flakes/pellets. Usually frozen can be trained. Sometimes flakes and pellets don't happen but, again no experience with this.

@JoJosReef did you train one?

the one that I have was biota raised on frozen PE Mysis. But she eats these pellets besides pods. none of my fish will touch flakes for some reason.

Not a mandarin. I got mine from Biota already eating pellets. I find that they take to white worms super fast and that will keep them fat while you work on other foods. I just found mine eating mysis I dumped on the sand in front of it for the first time today. It usually would eat live pods, TDO B2 pellets and white worms, but seems like it's OK with mysis now.

Especially with the white worms, it has learned that when the pipette goes into the tank, worms come out, so it comes right over to me when I put the pipette into the tank. Then I shoot some worms or other food in front of it. It examined the mysis and then went for it today. He's not good a picking stuff out of the water column, though, so I usually turn all of the flow off to feed him or just let him hunt.

Doesn't Biota also train on TDO?

I honestly don't know. LFS just told me raised on frozen PE. I had no plans to get one until she said was eating PE and not just pods.

I have some brine shrimp eggs that I just put in water if they hatch i can also feed them to the mandarin goby and my other fish as well. I had white worms that Wes was awesome enough to send me but my culture crashed.

I mentioned @DarthRaiderBob earlier today. Did anyone reach out to him?

Also, there is the guy from Wisconsin, with the 3D printers, and I cannot recall his name. He's been MIA lately too. Anyone have contact with him?

I got the brine shrimp hatchery @tharbin recommend. I've got to try something else for this leopard wrasse. He doesn't eat ANYTHING! I have a healthy pod population, but I dont even really see him hunt.

Cool cool, another day another shipping woe, this time UPS delivered my Innovative Marine media basket to a random home.

Approve South Park GIF
Have you thought about having someone 3D print the basket for you? (Not that this would remove shipping woes.)
