Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I know a place already where I don't think I can put any corals. How carefully should the algae be stuffed?
Just be careful not to break all the branches, but it doesn't have to be perfect. Just remember that you want it lodged good enough to stay out with flow and fish.

What CUC do you recommend to put in the sump?
Depends on what you want it for? My sump is an extra tank with Clowns and Nems so I've got Trochus in there. Looking for a Hector's Goby or Court Jester and will likely get an Emerald crab or two.

My sump is small, and getting from compartment to compartment is difficult for a snail or a fish, I want something more to help with all the detritus that stays at the bottom.

So the snails and urchin will eat pom pom or??
I haven't had them eat pom pom. My tux urchin would grab a bit, but I never saw him chowing down on it. He decimated my Botrycladia.

Believe me on the magnet. As soon as I removed the cleaner from my tank I noticed a decrease in GHA. Within a week it was all gone.
oh i do believe, like i said been down that road but it was a cheap return pump.

Just got my third jury summons for december Tim, 3rd, 6th and 18th, see how many more i get.

Will a sea hare touch pom pom? What inverts eat it?
That, I don't know. Pom pom is slightly calcified, so less appetizing for a lot of fish/inverts, but not nearly as calcified as a macro like Halimeda.

Got it. Sadley my mom is in a bad mood so she's not getting the algae tonight... I just need to now plan what I need to really get this tank back together. I really need a Hanna so that will be my next investment. I'm gonna put my algae near the bottom of the tank but not exactly on the bottom. I really wanna get a bta in there so I'm gonna do an algae scrub tomorrow and get all the algae off my main rocks. It'll struggle to come back due to the mass amounts of fluanzacole. After my vacation on Saturday and Sunday I'll be going to my LFS on Wednesday to see if he has anything and I'll possibly buy some coral.

Yes. Free frags.
Lol that's a great way of looking at it. At least this was I got everything mounted at once. It was only a matter of time before my wrasse broke it anyways

I'd second emerald crab and maybe some carnivorous snails that don't need to burrow.

Hermits and Ceriths. Maybe a Trochus or 3. Nassarius would be great except they want sand.

Do you think if I add trochus, a few turbos, a sea hare and a tux urchin it'll make a difference

I'm growing mangrove roots into the detritus.

Yes, but include manual removal as well. Remember, it’s not going to happen overnight. Have patience young jedi! We have all been there and it takes time but you will prevail. Now go to bed, school tomorrow remember?
